Congratulations to Larry James who was honored as a recipient of the 2024 James Preston Poindexter Award during the Columbus City Council's annual Black History Month Celebration!

The Poindexter Award was named after Reverend James Preston Poindexter, the first Black member of Columbus City Council. Individuals being recognized with the honor embody the spirit of Poindexter; they have made significant strides in the faith community, education, business, arts & entertainment, and public service. Those being honored have established a legacy in Columbus by improving this City and ultimately enhancing the lives of others. 

Larry also participated in a panel discussion during the program, which is held each year to celebrate the achievements of African Americans in shaping the City of Columbus. The event took place at the Historic Lincoln Theatre on February 16, 2024.
